Innovative GMP Laboratory for R-Pharm Talent Development Opens in Yaroslavl

On February 27, 2026, the N.P. Pastukhov Yaroslavl Industrial and Economic College (YPEC) hosted the grand opening of the “Individual Pharmaceutical Solutions” training facility. This project, launched in partnership with R-Pharm Group, aims to train a new generation of specialists in personalized medicine production within an environment that replicates real-world pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Infrastructure and GMP Compliance

The laboratory complex was fully designed and funded by R-Pharm Group. The technical infrastructure includes specialized laboratory furniture, high-precision analytical instruments, and professional glassware. A key feature of the facility is its strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements and cleanroom standards in the design of all work zones.

Students specializing in “Biochemical Production” and “Analytical Control Technology” will gain hands-on experience in the full cycle of personalized drug development:

  • Formulation of solid and liquid dosage forms;
  • Quality control methods (including high-precision analysis);
  • Modern packaging design and standards.

During the opening ceremony, students demonstrated the facility’s capabilities by manufacturing Riboflavin in hard gelatin capsules.

“Within these walls, students will master the art of the personalized approach in pharmacy. Together, we are preparing specialists who are not intimidated by complex formulations and are ready to make medical assistance truly targeted.”

— Ekaterina Repkina, Director of Human Resources Development at R-Pharm Group

Educational Context and “Professionalitet”

The project is integrated into the federal “Professionalitet” program (part of the “Youth and Children” national project). Beyond the standard curriculum, the laboratory will serve as an official venue for regional stages of professional excellence championships in the “Individual Pharmaceutical Solutions” competency. This innovative competency was first introduced by R-Pharm at the High Technology Championship Finals in autumn 2025.

According to Alexander Gudkov, Deputy Minister of Education of the Yaroslavl Region, working with cutting-edge equipment will provide students with the high-demand competencies required by the modern pharmaceutical market.

A Decade of Partnership

The opening of this laboratory is a milestone in the long-term cooperation between YPEC and R-Pharm, which began in 2014. Over the past 12 years, a comprehensive educational ecosystem has been established at the college, including chemical laboratories, a VR training center, and a “Biopharmaceutical Production” training hub.

Infrastructure Facility Primary Purpose
Individual Solutions Lab Personalized medicine and compounding pharmacy
VR Training Center Simulation of cleanroom operations and equipment maintenance
Biopharm Production Hub Training in industrial protocols and manufacturing processes
