The “BSVC” continues to conduct pharmaceutical inspections of foreign veterinary medicines manufacturers

The Belarusian State Veterinary Center (the “BSVC”) is staffed by highly qualified specialists and protects animal and human health and food security in the Republic of Belarus.

To ensure compliance with the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practice Rules of the Eurasian Economic Union, approved by the EEC Council Decision of November 3, 2016 No. 77 (hereinafter referred to as the EAEU GMP Rules), the Department of Veterinary and Food Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the RB authorized the “BSVC” to conduct pharmaceutical inspections of veterinary medicinal product manufacture for compliance with the EAEU GMP Rules.

A pharmaceutical inspection department has been established within the institution. Olga Mezhennikova is the head of the veterinary pharmaceutical inspectorate of the “BSVC.” The register of pharmaceutical inspectors of the veterinary pharmaceutical inspectorate of the RB is available on the institution’s website. The rules for conducting pharmaceutical inspections of veterinary medicinal product manufacture are defined in Appendix No. 26 to the EEC Council Decision of January 21, 2022 No. 1 “Rules for regulating the circulation of veterinary medicinal products in the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.”

According to the Register of veterinary medicinal product manufacturers recognized as compliant with the EAEU GMP Rules for the RB, certificates were issued in 2025 to three Spanish sites of Laboratorios Hipra, S.A., and the Chinese sites of Tianjin Ringpu Bio-Technology Co. Ltd. Airport Economic Zone Branch, Ringpu (Baoding) Biological Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou South China Biological medicine Co., Ltd.

In accordance with the Plan for conducting pharmaceutical inspections of veterinary medicinal product manufacturers for compliance with the EAEU GMP Rules, 7 inspections of manufacturers located in Indonesia, Spain, China, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Estonia are already scheduled for 2026.
