FGBU “VNIIZJ” Veterinary Vaccine Exports Exceeded 730 Million Doses in 2025

The Federal Centre for Animal Health (FGBU “VNIIZJ”) has summed up its export activities for 2025. The volume of foreign supplies of veterinary vaccines developed in-house exceeded the 730 million dose mark, showing confident growth compared to the previous year.

Broad Spectrum of Protection

All exported preparations were fully developed at the institute’s laboratories. The institution’s portfolio includes specific prevention products for poultry, pigs, cattle and small ruminants, as well as wild carnivores and domestic animals.

The 2025 supplies are intended to prevent a number of dangerous diseases, including:

  • Foot-and-mouth disease and lumpy skin disease;
  • Bovine mastitis and peste des petits ruminants;
  • Avian influenza, Newcastle disease, infectious bronchitis in chickens, and infectious bursal disease.

Supply Geography

In 2025, Russian vaccine prophylaxis products were actively sent not only to the CIS and EAEU countries but also to non-CIS markets. Key importers include:

  • Persian Gulf countries: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait.
  • African states: Uganda, Egypt, Morocco.
  • Asian countries.

Growth Dynamics

The 2025 statistics confirm the systematic expansion of the institute’s export potential. For comparison: at the end of 2024, FGBU “VNIIZJ” produced a total of 13 billion doses of vaccines, of which over 600 million doses were sent to foreign markets. Thus, over the year, the export volume increased by 130 million doses (by more than 20%).
