Ransom Naturals Ltd is a leading developer and manufacturer of botanical extracts for the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Personal Care and Food & Beverage industries. With 175 years of experience in the field of natural products, we have a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

We offer product, process and method development, from laboratory initiation through scale up to full commercial production at our GMP compliant site in Hitchin, United Kingdom. We are perfectly positioned to deliver customer specific project solutions.

Our product portfolio includes active botanical pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and excipients. We standardise APIs to the exacting requirements of a wide range of pharmacopeial (Ph. Eur, BP, USP) or customer in-house specifications and offer a full regulatory support service.  We have Active Substance Master File (ASMF) availability for many of our products.

Our main products in our pharma portfolio include Capsicum, Peru Balsam, Arnica, Liquorice, Ginger, Squill, Senega, Cocillana and Ipecacuanha. We currently have 74 products in our pharmaceutical product list with 13 more under development. Our products are available in liquid, soft and powdered forms to satisfy the needs of different markets and we have an ambitious plan to produce dry powder extracts in the future.

We have recently completed expansion and redevelopment of our laboratories and are in the process of creating our pilot and scale up suite to support new technologies related to extraction, evaporation, purification, crystalisation and dry product manufacture.

Our expansion and development underline our business growth plans in response to customer needs, new process technologies and the volume of demand. We are now able to bring in additional resource to the R&D team in both personnel and equipment.
