Rosselkhoznadzor removed the veterinary drug “Telazol 100 mg” from the list of prohibited

Rosselkhoznadzor announced that a veterinary drug Telazol 100 mg has been allowed to be imported into Russia.

The decision comes after Rosselkhoznadzor has confirmed the efficacy and safety of the veterinary drug based on the materials provided by the manufacturer.

In December 2021, based on the report from Rosselkhoznadzor, drug Telazol was included in the list of drugs, the circulation of which is prohibited in the Russian Federation.

Telazol is an original drug an American company Zoetis, used for general anesthesia during diagnostic procedures and surgical interventions in dogs and cats. It is also used during painful or unpleasant procedures of short-term, such as laceration repair, draining of abscesses, castrations.

Telazol (tiletamine and zolazepam for injection) is a nonnarcotic, nonbarbiturate, injectable anesthetic agent for dogs and cats whose use requires no additional licenses, special storage and accounting conditions, or expensive equipment.
